Board of Directors
Jack Volker, President
Jack was born and always lived in nearby Monroe, Michigan. At a young
age Jack found a dead barn owl. This experience shaped his interest in the outdoors,
which has taken him to five continents. He and his wife, Janet, have been volunteers
on the refuge for years. He has served as vice-president for Erie
Shores Birding Association and has been a member of ONWRA since it was founded.
Janet Volker, Vice President
Janet is a charter member of ONWRA. She joined the Board in 2003. When not volunteering
at the Refuge she enjoys traveling, camping, birding and quilting.
Currently Janet is serving as President for Erie Shores Birding Association in Monroe, Michigan
where she and Jack reside.
Sharon has been volunteering at the refuge since 1992 and has been
a member of ONWRA since its inception. When Sharon isn't helping the refuge
staff with various projects, she's slogging through the mud photographing flora
and fauna for the refuge. Sharon is a freelance photographer who has been published
in many calendars, field guides and text books, and owns a printing company

Sharon is also a member of the Toledo Camera Club
Bob Morrison, Secretary
Bob has been a volunteer at Ottawa NWR for years. He has served on the board
since its inception. Bob loves woodworking, volunteering with the Boy Scouts, and ONWRA.
Richard has been on ONWRA's monthly bird survey for years. He joins the board
after retiring from the public school system.
